A FRIEND
When the path you walk seems dark and gray
And confusion makes you lose your way
When nothing seems to work out right
And you feel like crying late at night
When the endless road takes you back to start
And you feel like quitting deep in your heart
When you give and give without any praise
And all your thoughts are now a haze
Look beside you, you have a friend
Whose there to help you until the end
Who’ll be there to help you through
And hold your hand in all you do
With a friend along to guide the way
